The VF Foundation has announced a $1 million donation to the Outdoor Foundation to help reverse the decline in American families getting outdoors. The Outdoor Foundation is a non-profit organization established by the Outdoor Industry Association (OIA) to inspire and grow future generations of outdoor enthusiasts. As part of its mission, the Outdoor Foundation aims to create “Thrive Outside Communities,” to bring together kids and families to participate in structured outdoor programs. VF's donation will support this as well as other foundation efforts. The VF Foundation was established in 2002 by VF Corp. for charitable, scientific and educational purposes. The VF Foundation supports organizations working in the arts, education, community services, health care, families and children, environmental sustainability and science.
