According to an exclusive report by sport-guide.com, Pierre-Jean Touchard will leave Salewa France, of which he is managing director, within a few weeks. Touchard has been with Salewa since 2003. Touchard’s departure has been confirmed by Stefan Rainer, director of sales at Salewa France, who told sport-guide.com that Touchard would be pursuing a new personal project outside of Oberalp Group, Salewa’s mother company. Rainer added that the group is planning to transition from retail-focused to a multichannel strategy. Under this new strategic orientation, France and the Iberian Peninsula are expected to merge into a single new region, called “Europe South,” with one senior director of sales at the top, said Rainer.
