British outdoor brand Rab, a subsidiary of Equip Outdoor Technologies, will return as presenting partner of the Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival for the third consecutive season when the festival opens this fall. The 2020 festival will take place from Oct. 31 to Nov. 8 and will be a virtual festival due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation. The program includes film and book award ceremonies with annotations by filmmakers and the jury, presentations by authors, filmmakers, photographers, athletes and environmentalists, as well as panel discussions and a curated film program from the 2020 competition. Following the festival, it is planned that around 35 of the best films will go on a world tour, consisting of more than 1,100 screenings around the globe, as far as the corona situation allows.
