TNF chooses sustainable wool over down or synthetics for Heritage Collection

The North Face is taking its first steps toward incorporating more sustainable alternatives to synthetic and down insulation materials into its collections: Three styles in the new Heritage Collection are padded with HD Wool Insulation product. HD Wool Insulation is the innovation division of H. Dawson Wool, a U.K.-based international wool supplier founded in 1888. The wool used to make HD Wool Insulation can be traced back to the farm where it was grown. Farmers submit their land to an annual organic outcome audit, defined by the U.S. Savory Institute, to show progress toward land-to-market goals.
