Premiering this year, the new #sheisoutdoors awards for innovative outdoor apparel and gear just for women are to be announced soon. The final jury meeting will take place on July 29-31. The winners of the women’s gear award #sheisoutdoors Summer 2021 will be announced on Saturday, July 31 (18:00 CET) during a digital live-stream event in Interlaken, Switzerland. The winners will be picked from five categories: outdoor professionals and expeditions, camping, equipment, footwear and clothing. An all-female jury of outdoor industry specialists will test the submitted products, judging them on functionality, quality, choice of materials, sustainability, innovation, usability, target group and design. Among the 28 outdoor brands applying for the awards are Gregory, Bergans, Haglöfs, Exped, Lowa, Devold, Jack Wolfskin, Lamunt, Osprey, Schöffel, Norrøna, Deuter, Aclima, Scarpa and others. Overall, 37 women’s-specific products have been sent in for the first-ever awards. Munich-based outdoor enthusiasts, photographers and digital creatives, Jana Erb and Miriam Mayer, founded the project.
