The European Outdoor Group (EOG) has developed a survey about the pathways of textile materials and garments at their “end of life.” Participation would be appreciated from anyone with experience in the textile supply chain (brands, factories, suppliers, retailers). The EOG wants to learn more about what happens to the product and waste (including post-consumer, returns and excess inventory) at the end of its life cycle in order to gain insight into the collection of raw material for innovative technologies such as PET recycling or similar. The survey will support the DEMETO project, which is developing innovative microwave-based processes to enable chemical recycling of PET and aims to provide plastic manufacturers and waste recyclers with a viable option for treating plastic waste in the textile supply chain.

The survey is available until Friday, March 27, and can be accessed here.
