This July, Salomon, the French outdoor multi-sport specialist, will open its German Experience Stores number two and three after the Munich store that was opened last November. From July 8, the new Frankfurt store with 105 square meters will open its doors in the MyZeil shopping mall; on July 15, the new 160-square meter Cologne location will be opened on Breite Straße. In both stores, women and men will find the complete ranges for road running, trail running, hiking and backpacking as well as equipment for travel and sportswear. In Cologne, the range also includes ski clothing and the appropriate protective equipment.

According to Salomon, the Frankfurt am Main region is ranked first among the top ten cities for running because running enthusiasts find ideal routes, events, and weather conditions. The Rhineland metropolis of Cologne is considered a stronghold of sports and is attractive to all sports enthusiasts with its numerous parks, inviting running routes along the Rhine and, last but not least, the German Sport University Cologne. The two cities are, therefore, perfect locations for Salomon.

Michael Krell, managing director Salomon Germany, said: “Our new brand stores are part of an epicenter strategy through which we want to strengthen brand awareness among consumers and also achieve better sell-through with our retail partners in the future. Especially in the area of brand activation, we will work closely with our partners in the regions to make the best possible use of existing synergy effects.”

Salomon currently manages more than 200 stores worldwide and three brand stores in Germany.
