For the upcoming winter season, Smartwool Europe has entered a partnership with Protect Our Winters (POW) Switzerland. POW was founded in 2007 by pro snowboarder Jeremy Jones and is a global non-profit charity that builds communities of athletes, activists and committed companies to work on solutions to make changes in society, economy and politics and to tackle the climate crisis that threatens our ability to enjoy the snow and all the experiences that come with it. By partnering with POW, Smartwool, originally from the U.S. and a division of VF Outdoor, has become the latest voice in the Swiss outdoor community taking a stand against climate change. Helping support and promote POW’s educational and activism programmes via Smartwool’s brand channels, athlete ambassadors and retail campaigns. The partnership was officially announced and celebrated at the POW Switzerland annual summit held on Oct. 3.
